International Employee Assistance Programme (IEAP) (1)
Cigna Healthcare’s International Employee Assistance Programme can offer in-the-moment counselling and emotional support to those in need. It means your client's employees and their family members can obtain immediate assistance or set up structured counselling sessions. IEAP is available for their convenience, is confidential and free of charge for employees to access.

How to Access
Members can access support in a number of ways:
-
Call: Please click here to access the Global Phone List for direct access to IEAP.
Callers will be presented with the option to connect with a counsellor. Following the initial consultation, the clinician will arrange for any structured counselling in their preferred language.
Please note that charges will apply when calling the DID number. However, callers may request a call back as soon as they connect with a counsellor
-
Request that a counsellor contacts the member directly:
From the IEAP website: Members can access the IEAP website directly by clicking the link from the IEAP section of their Cigna member portal. Once they click on ‘Connect with us’ at the top of the IEAP home page, they’ll see options including LiveConnect chat and an Appointment Scheduler.

Coverage Status
We have received several inquiries regarding Cigna Healthcare’s position relative to passive war. We have taken steps to ensure that passive war is covered as standard. Should coverage be required as a result of passive war risk, members will receive benefits in line with the coverage provided under their specific Cigna plan. We pay for injuries sustained due to an act of war provided the member is not participating. Coverage would be subject to policy terms and applicable exclusions.
All claims are assessed in line with the member’s Table of Benefits and Selected Area of Coverage (AOC). Where applicable, claims incurred outside the AOC may be considered under the Emergency Out of Area Cover benefit for emergency treatment during short‑term travel.
